I ordered the delicious Portugese chicken pie and the pastry was perfection - then coffee and the Portugese tart which is as authentic as you can get! This cute place has a massive choice of sweets including the Portuguese lamington and some savoury options. Friendly staff and everything is made fresh on-site. A lovely place to sit and enjoy a treat - and a taste of Portugal.

Absolutely obsessed with this place. Without a doubt the best cake shop I’ve ever been to. The Portuguese tarts are next level, nothing else even comes close. But the custard palmier… honestly life-changing. On top of that, the staff are always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. This place never misses and I’ll keep coming back again and again.

Sweet Belem Cake Boutique – Petersham Without a doubt, the best Portuguese tarts in all of Petersham — the heart of Sydney’s own “mini Portugal.” Every pastry and cake here is beautifully crafted, looks incredible, and tastes even better. You can tell real care and tradition go into everything they make. It’s a lovely spot to sit, relax, and take a quiet moment out of your day — the smell of fresh pastry and coffee makes it even better. The staff are always kind, welcoming, and genuinely part of the local community. An absolute must-visit whether you’re a local or just passing through.

A pleasant experience on a Sunday visit. It was very crowded but we managed to get a table. Limited seating available. I’d say it was very overpriced for the price of one Portuguese Tart. We also ordered some other sweets. They were alright. The Molotof w/ salted caramel and almond praline was overly sweet and the Lime Mousse had a lot of coconut. I would probably eat it once in a blue moon.
