This bakery has been an icon for many a year. I believe the owner has changed and the recipe might have varied. It still pumps out a very decent pie and sausage roll (chicken pie is amazing). I’ve only downgraded the food because my 20+ year old memory remembers it as better.

We visited St Peters Bakehouse on a Saturday at about 12:30pm nearing 1pm by the time we got in line. They were nearly completely out of plain sausage rolls and were not-to-my-surprise out of the cheesey bacon sausage rolls but there were plenty of desserts available! The custard tart was absolutely beautiful. I have recently gone gluten free and so this was my first time eating a gluten free sausage roll at a bakery and it was delicious! I also tried the gluten free brownie and it was very fudgey and nice. The Brownie was about $6 and the prices of other things I do not know. The cafe was FULL of customers dining in but the tables were not being cleared quickly so we opted to eat in our car as it was quite loud in the cafe as well due to it being a small space. Parking is always busy here so we opted to park down the street.

This place is a must if in Adelaide, the best sausage rolls of all time. The food is really fresh and they are busy as 😋

It was my first visit on a very hot Sunday, so I had an iced coffee, which was great. A very popular bakery, and it appears many customers take their food away. Lots of cakes and treats to choose from 😋

If your in Adelaide this bakery is a place to stop and eat. Coffee is wonderful and OMG so yummy, amazing bakery. So much to look at and decide on, it’s heaven. Great customer service from a lovely young lady Cher making us the best rolls, and very patient with me, and friendly lovely girl. Best lunch I have to say, so fresh and the chocolate donuts are the best! Beautiful spot to sit inside or out, the trees are amazing throughout the streets. Gorgeous Thank you Sandy from Perth WA
