As a regular here I was extremely disappointed with the service and quality of our visit today. I had been talking Queens up to my mainland friends and took them to visit. The service was very poor. We ordered our coffee and food to eat in and it was served in take away (even though others had plates and cups served to them). Our order was slow with several people ordering after us and recieving their coffees ahead of us. The coffee was also quite weak, a very average drink. The freshly cooked croissants were on the darker side and much more oily than usual. Overall a disappointing experience and as a local I’ll be taking a break and visit a few other cafes until they get back on track.

Very good Croissants in Hobart from this Queens Pastry cafe. The green colour corner shop is eye catching and the lady recommended their popular croissants still available- Chocolate Croissant and Chocolate Cruffins. Both are so delicious, texture is great and flavourful. Definitely worth the hype.

Overall experience has been very inconsistent. The first time I visited, the perfect golden croissant was beautifully layered, airy on the inside, and had that perfect buttery crunch, really impressive. But on other visits, the croissant was noticeably different: dry, lacking the light, flaky texture you’d expect, and at times overbaked or even a bit burnt. It almost felt like a completely different product each time. Service has also been hit and miss. 6th June, they missed my coffee order out of a group of five, and the lady barista didn’t even acknowledge it or apologise. That left a pretty poor impression. That said, a few of the trainees were lovely and clearly passionate. Very disappointed but hoping there will be more consistency in both the bake and service, it could easily become a favourite spot. Hope to see it improve!

Been meaning to try here for awhile. Have a thing for french pastry and happy to find out that their Pain au chocolat is awesome. Will be back to try more things soon. Fair to say if you after Pastry, this is 5 star and service was exceptional. Update: have been buying their donuts too. They have deals if you buy in quantity. The quality is excellent and if you have friends with specific dietary requirements, they are able to accomodate.
