Hobartโs best croissants, and the coffee is excellent. Although seating is limited, Iโm still happy to wait and quietly sit down to enjoy a breakfast. Well worth a visit.
This was the first place I checked when I arrived in Tassy, as it was voted the best cafe in the city. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the baked goods looked incredibly tempting. I opted for the mozzarella bagel, which had a delicious filling, but the bagel itself was too dry for my taste. The coffee was strong but average.
The most famous bakery in Hobart! I was there around 1pm and everything looked sold out. The salami ficeelle was a bit dryโฆ I will come early next time.
I noticed reviews in Australia tend to be inflated (not sure if it's a lack of discernment of what is actually good food) so I was wary of the high praise but this is good!! I got the savoury scroll, croissant and an iced white. The savoury scroll was delicious, and the croissant stayed crunchy an hour later. They served the ice drink with a huge ice block which helped the coffee retain its taste without being too diluted quickly. Definitely visit here if you are in the city area. The other bakes looked good too, like the sandwich and bagels. I declare this worthy of its rating.
Enjoyed the chai, the savoury scroll, the morning bun which was deliciously caramelised but not too much. Textures are on point ๐ and level of sweetness is just right. Also love the cute setup they have the "pigeon hole" to pick up your coffee outside ๐
