Unfortunately, I paid $8.50 for a pie the other day that was about the same quality as a four and twenty pie that you buy in the frozen section of Woolies. It’s not that it’s not edible but for $8.50, I could probably buy a pack of four and twenty pies and reheat them myself. For $8.50 for a single pie, I want the lid to be flaky and the crust to be nice and soft. A better example of what an $8.50 pie should be is what you can get from the bakery at the Standard Market Company on Ferry Road. I did have a sausage roll from here once a while ago, which was better for the price but unfortunately, bland. Again, the sausage rolls from SMC bakery were better.

My partner and I had such a wonderful experience at this small pastry shop. The staff were absolutely lovely warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we enjoyed both the food. Their professionalism really stood out, from their polished uniforms to the thoughtful way they interacted with everyone. My partner and I agreed that their spinach and feta pastry was one of the best we’ve ever eaten. The pastry was perfectly golden, flaky, and honestly unforgettable. The iced coffee was also incredible. The whole place has an inviting, positive vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer than planned. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in I promise you won’t be disappointed.

We ate a pistachio croissant, Italian sausage pastry, and an apple crumble danish. Honestly all the food was 10/10. Fantastic pastries and such incredible flavours! I definitely recommend eating at Pierre’s pastry. The service was great too!
