Such a lovely little spot. One Matcha has a really cute, relaxed atmosphere and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. I’m not usually a big matcha drinker, but I honestly really enjoyed the banana matcha – smooth, well balanced, and not overpowering at all. My wife does love matcha and she was very happy with her drink too, which says a lot. The burnt miso cheesecake was a standout as well – rich, slightly savoury, and absolutely delicious. Definitely something I’d come back for on its own. Great vibe, great service, and some genuinely memorable flavours. We’ll be back. 🍵🍰
Matcha lovers must come. Venue: Close to Perth Train station and busports. Like located in a alley where connected to a fee payable carparks . Little shop decorated in Japanese style. Cushions on the wooden branch. Good vibe. --- 7.1/10 Service: One staff only. Tap water (and extra spoon) is available at the entrance (self-service station). Did not ask us the matcha grade, sugar level. Matcha drinks are made to order (traditional Japanese matcha technique). Acceptable waiting time for drinks and cakes. Matcha cupping session (need reservation) introduces Japanese Matcha culture. --- 7.2/10 F&B: Mainly Matcha food, drinks and desserts. Whole cakes are available. Not sure what brand of matcha powder they used. Normal presentation and portion. Reasonable prices. - Pistachio Matcha, $9: best seller. Quite nice. - Tokyo Banana Latte, $9: Garnish with 2 Carmelized banana slices. Not bad. But, not very strong flavor of matcha and banana for my liking. - Matcha Yuzu Fizz, $8: rather sour and bitter for first try. - Hojicha Tiramisu, $7: in a small teacup. Ordered for kids.
There was only one staff member when I was there doing everything so it took a very long time for the order to come out. Not a good area if you want to chill and talk cuz it's surrounded by food restaurants so super noisy. The drink and cake were good. that clear jelly has such a fun texture also very reasonable price.
Service was 11/10, staff were very friendly and gave excellent recommendations. The banana matcha latte was really good, a lovely mix of earthy matcha and tangy banana, that wasn’t too sweet. The cold soba with salmon was very good, salmon served lightly torched, and the soba was springy with a nice mouth feel; the broth was simple but good. The matcha cheesecake had a rich cheese taste which we felt overpowered the matcha. It could benefit from more matcha or a stronger matcha taste. Overall a great experience, highly recommended!
Fantastic!! Hidden down an alley is a new dessert spot. To me, it stands out enough from the other 100 spots to actually make it worthwhile. The atmosphere is really great - the staff here really feel like a family. You see everything being made in front of you, and the service is eggcelent. We did have to wait a bit longer for all our order, but we didn't mind. They do take away too. Recommend one of the dipping plates! will be back :)
