Nestled in a quiet residential pocket, this charming café blends right into its peaceful surroundings while offering a standout experience that’s anything but ordinary. In an area already known for its cluster of great cafés, this spot still manages to hold its own — and with good reason. The vibe is stylish yet unpretentious, with a warm interior that invites you to slow down and stay a while. What really impressed me was the quality of the pastries. The blueberry tart I tried was a real highlight — buttery crust, just the right balance of sweetness, and bursting with fresh blueberry flavour. Paired with a smooth, well-pulled coffee, it made for a perfect mid-morning treat. It’s the kind of place that feels like a local secret — relaxed, thoughtfully curated, and clearly loved by those who know it. Whether you’re after a peaceful solo break or a catch-up spot with friends, this café offers both comfort and quality in spades. A real gem in the neighbourhood café scene.

Tried their salami ciabatta, basque cheesecake, custard doughnut and their mango danish. Everything tasted great! Their ciabatta left me wanting for more, their cheesecake was so rich but not overwhelming. Their doughnut was heavily filled with custard, the mango danish didn’t disappoint as well. I wish there were more chairs to cater the customers but I kinda expected it will be packed anyway. Darvella was worth the drive, worth the queue and worth the wait.

Fun and exciting special/limited edition items to try, although sometimes the flavours aren't as refined. Tried the Tiramisu Latte and aside from the mascarpone layer on top, the drink itself is just a regular coffee with an extra shot, served with a lady finger biscuit. Bakery items taste as you expect them. Not bad but not amazing either (most I'd give for things I tried is a 5-6/10). The service is good and wait times for drinks aren't long despite lots of customers. Good to try once to see if its your cup of tea.

I visited Darvella Patisserie and tried their banana and chocolate muffin, spinach and ricotta sausage roll, and a cappuccino. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced — the muffin was moist with a lovely banana aroma, and the sausage roll had a delicious, flaky pastry with a nice cheesy filling. The cappuccino was smooth and well-made, a great match for the pastries. The café itself has a pleasant, cozy atmosphere with comfortable seating, perfect for a morning date or a relaxed catch-up. The only downside was the house flyers, which felt a bit unnecessary or distracting on the tables. Overall, a great spot for breakfast or a light brunch — definitely worth visiting again!

Darvella never disappoints! Their monthly buns are such a treat, and every cake I’ve ordered has been beautifully made and absolutely delicious. I’ve also used their catering several times, and it’s always a hit with everyone. The quality, creativity, and service are consistently excellent – highly recommend for both everyday treats and special occasions!
