craving a cupcake today, visited the shop this afternoon when they were about to close. I asked the owner if they still have cupcakes left, the owner handed me two cupcakes for free saying I looked like a kind and nice person 🥹. The cupcakes are absolutely delicious! I am not sure if I am truely kind and nice all the time, but you definitely inspired me to be more kind to others ❤️

I went to this bakery expecting good things. The reviews were pretty good... the place is dirty and run down. I thinks it's past its prime. The pie i had was cold. The staff looked like they didn't want to be there, one was vaping out the front. So hopefully things are better in the future and this review becomes redundant but as of Easter 2025 I wouldn't recommend this bakery for a meat pie or a cup coffee, maybe try the bread it could be a different story. Edit 22-4-2025 7pm I'm not sure what the shop owner is on about saying I was there an hour ago... I was there Saturday morning (not a public holiday) sorry your staff had to work. They weren't the concern. Cleanliness and food safety were my concerns. I hope this helps other readers of my review. Please read owner's reply below.

I am currently eating the absolute best hot cross bun ive ever eaten in my life. I didn't know about this place, but my neighbours dropped us by some hot cross buns as an Easter gift. They're perfect - hugh, squishy and perfectly spiced. I'll be visiting the bakery tomorrow.

There is a local secret 😉 in Narrabundah only the Narrabundahs knows about, a hidden gem that of Danny's Bakery makes the best Sourdough in Canberra. Over 32 years they are in Narrabundah a Family run business, as his Children and Grandchildren are helping him in the Bakery. Danny is making his own doughs in the Bakery the old way, from Sourdough to White bread, also Pies, Sausage rolls, Cakes and pastries. Try the Lamingtons they are the best. The Pie is so delicious , next time I get two, also the Sourdough bread is delicious. Every, Easter day Danny's Bakery makes the best Hot Cross Buns 🐣 come and get some for the Easter, they are big 😋 as you eat, you will get some more wonderful Hot Cross Buns. Get your Christmas Cakes from Danny's Bakery, wonderful Christmas tarts and Christmas 🎄 Cakes 🎂 Come inside the Bakery and Danny's Family will happily serving you. Open from 5 am to 3 pm on weekdays and on Saturday 5 am to 2.00pm. 'Narrabundah ', is a word from the Indigenous Ngunnawal language meaning 'Bird of Prey '. Celebrated in the sculpture in the park opposed the Narrabundah shops. After the Australia Capital Territory (A.C.T) was established in 1 January 1911, all the land areas were renamed. Narrabundah was named on 20 September 1928. Narrabundah was the last of the 'inner south ' suburbs to be developed, commencing in 1947, after being delayed by the World War 2. Narrabundah became the first blue collar suburb in Canberra, housing mainly workers in construction and printing. Upper Narrabundah know for its small population of urban Peafowl (peacocks) with their colourful feathers. There is a photo of the colourful Peafowl (Peacocks), thank you People in Narrabundah for the photo. Well know residences lived in (Upper) Narrabundah the former Prime Minister John Gordon (9 September 1911 - 19 May 2002) , ( The nineteenth, Prime Minister from 10 January 1968 to 10 March 1971 of Australia), who was often seen walking home from Parliament House via Manuka suburb. If you are an Baseball fan, there's a team in Narrabundah home of Canberra Cavalry Baseball Team, there home matches played at Narrabundah Ballpark, known also 'Bundahdome ', near Mill Creek off Goyder Crescent in old Narrabundah.

Had the steak and mushroom pie, cheese and bacon pie and sausage roll. Steak and mushroom wasn't chunky steak but tasty. Cheese and bacon was exactly wat was promised. Mostly bacon and cheese not a lot of mince. Sausage roll could not tell exactly what kind of sausage meat. Large in size. Great flavour bakery and rich in flavour. Would go back again.
