Lovely staff, and even greater foods. We were only stopping by the town for the day, only got to try the amazing savoury ham cheese croissant and lemon meringue croissant. We are already saving this spot for whenever we are stopping by Newcastle again!!!
I don’t get here often but it’s consistently delightful. Finally tried a croissant sandwich (salami) yesterday which was EPIC. Maple bacon scroll is a family fave, seasonal/special danishes are always interesting combinations AND delicious. If you order pastries via the website you can pickup without waiting in line, however the specials are line-up only- which is fine because you’ll need time to think about which (if not all) you want to sample!
Coffee was a 10/10, was absolutely incredible. Pastries were the best we’ve ever eaten, so flaky, flavourful and well balanced. Staff were so so lovely and friendly
This place is tiny but it moves. Sandos that are stacked with flavour, new-age pastries that are playful but still grounded in good technique, and that fougasse? Unreal. Salty, chewy, golden—basically a problem in the best way. Everything here feels deliberate, but not pretentious. You can tell it’s run by people who care—about the dough, the layering, the temperature of the toast. Even the packaging has a kind of quiet confidence to it. The service? Always top shelf. Fast but never rushed, friendly without being fake. You get seen. You get fed. You leave better than you came in. It’s the kinda spot you swing by for a quick bite and end up mentally planning your next visit mid-bite. Newcastle’s lucky to have this one.
didn’t know there was such a busy pastry café like this. There were lots of people waiting even in the morning, and I was so happy to find a place like this in Newcastle. The prices were a bit high, but the pastries were delicious. The only available seating is outdoors, so the space felt a bit limited, but I’m definitely going back next time to try some other pastries. 🥐🥯🥨
