I could only taste the burnt flavor on the top of the egg tart. It was quite disappointing… — How can I know your Portuguese tart has burnt taste?? This is not my first time to try Portuguese tart, but it’s my first time to try a burnt one, not caramelized taste. After I try a bad one, you even want me to buy another?? or I can choose the one I like?? Why couldn’t you pick the burnt one out first, to avoid customer to buy it??

Very very good Pastel de Nata! Traditional vanilla was honest and true - rich, silky custard in a buttery and flaky casing. The Pandan was a bit cheeky, but my favourite take was their Lemon Meringue special. Punchy zest from the lemon and a sticky torched top!

Their Portuguese tarts are absolutely wonderful. There are several flavours, and each one is delicious. My favourites are the traditional vanilla and the Biscoff, but I could easily recommend any of them depending on personal taste. It’s a small place, made for a quick stop to grab the tarts and enjoy them on the go. It’s not a café but a shop dedicated entirely to making authentic Portuguese tarts, and they do it exceptionally well.

first time having these. they’re a flaky custard pastry with different flavoring options. i have tried the vanilla and biscoff flavors and they are really nice! biscoff is my preferred, it’s a good balance of the flavors. vanilla was just my intro to it. no need to be warm to enjoy it. tastes great at room temperature too, best eaten sooner after you get it.

Best Pastel de Nata in Australia🇵🇹 Having tried authentic Portuguese tarts in Lisbon I was amazed how good those tarts are. Can’t say that they taste like originals from Pastéis de Belém, but they are certainly the best I had in Australia! Thank you, Cafe Pastel! You definitely made my day!
