Very small, cosy cafe/bar with excellent French pastries and coffee. However, the biggest problem for us was the disorganisation! We visited twice: on the first occasion it was quiet and fairly good service, but on the next day it was very busy and the poor young woman was running around like a headless chook! To be fair, it didnโ€™t seem like she had anyone out front to help her. We truly hope the service/ staff organisation has improved because itโ€™s not a good look, and the food is worth it!

A gorgeous French-inspired bakery and wine bar that feels like a little pocket of Paris in the CBD. The pastry selection is impressive and everything tastes fresh and carefully crafted, with proper French technique. Coffee was excellent, service was friendly and polished, and the space is stylish without feeling pretentious. Great for breakfast, an afternoon treat, or a leisurely stop with a cheese and charcuterie board and a glass of wine.

Almost French Epicure at the Sheraton Hotel is such a cosy spot with comfy seats and very friendly staff. Their pastries are all cute, delicious, and definitely worth the price. I especially loved their lemon tart and tiramisu, both were perfectly balanced in flavour and not overly sweet. Their baguettes are also a standout, with a generous portion size that makes it perfect for sharing.

Almost French Epicure is not just a patisserie, itโ€™s a portal to edible poetry. Tucked away on Little Collins Street, this dreamy spot swept us into a swirl of butter, berries and blue macarons. The croissant was golden, flaky, and unapologetically buttery like a hug in pastry form. The veggie pasty was delicate and filled with sunshine, tasting like spring wrapped in layers. And the tiramisu? Soft, cloud like and whispering sweet nothings. But the macarons stole the show: Berry Cheesecake, Passion Fruit, Pistachio and a blue one. Each one a tiny story, perfectly balanced and beautifully crafted. We also tried the chocolate eclair slice and flourless chocolate slice, both rich, indulgent and deeply satisfying. The iced matcha was refreshing and the babychino added a playful touch to the experience. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with a touch of Parisian charm. The staff were kind, attentive and clearly passionate about what they do. Thank you to the lovely team at Almost French Epicure for the unforgettable experience. If you are in Melbourne and craving a little enchantment with your pastry, this is your sign.
